My name is Aimee Lyn Eaton. I grew up in central Oregon’s Cascades and high desert. My interests have taken me many places, but I continue to come home to the West where I can often be found splitting firewood, stalking trout, and skinning up long approaches for five minutes of skiing. I have a BS in journalism, and a MS in geography with an emphasis in hydrology. My writing has appeared in a range of national and international media, including: The New York Times, National Parks Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, and the Dirtbag Diaries. I recently completed my first book, Collared: Politics and Personalities in Oregon’s Wolf Country, to be published fall 2013 by Oregon State University Press.

I currently freelance full time, and I am always interested in hearing from you about new stories, projects, and opportunities.
